Threw up a $35 ad for a Saturday gig on a whim and got 11 replies by lunch
Three weeks ago I got tired of waiting on the "right time" to test my side thing, so I put up a basic ad on a local Facebook group in Fort Worth offering Saturday help for small moves and deliveries. I figured maybe 2 people would bite, but my phone buzzed all morning and by 1pm I had 11 messages, with 4 of them turning into paid jobs at $40 a pop. What I learned is that I sat on this idea for 8 months because I kept telling myself the market was full, when really I just never gave anyone a chance to say yes. Now I'm figuring out how many Saturdays I can give up before work gets mad, so for the folks here who started with one day a week, how did you know when it was okay to add a second?
