Rant: I scrapped my half-finished cedar bench for a plywood workbench and honestly the plywood might be better

Spent 14 hours on fancy joinery for a bench nobody will sit on, then banged out a plywood one in an afternoon. Am I crazy for thinking the fast ugly one wins, or should I dig the cedar back out?
