Vent: I completely forgot to pay my water bill for three months straight

I was so focused on the electric and mortgage that the water bill just slipped my mind, and now I have a $75 late fee on top of the $180 I owe. How do you guys keep track of all the different due dates without losing your mind?

Honestly that autopay setup is a lifesaver. Set it and forget it for all the regular bills, then you only have to check the account once a month to make sure nothing weird happened. The late fees alone make it worth it.

Totally agree, but have you ever had it go wrong? I read a story where someone's gym membership autopay kept charging them for a full year after they moved and canceled. The bank statements just blended in. It took a three hour phone call to get the charges reversed. That's the scary part, you really do have to check every line every month.
