Can we talk about the guy who told me to skip preheating my air fryer?
I was in line at the grocery store in Dayton last week and the guy behind me saw the frozen fries in my basket and said to skip preheating, "it's a waste of 3 minutes, just toss them in." So I tried it with a batch of sweet potato cubes at 400 degrees and they came out pale and sad on the bottom while the tops got close to burnt. Same basket, same amount, and the preheated batch the night before was way more even. Tbh the manual says preheat for a reason and I'm done second guessing it. Has anyone actually found a food where cold starting works better, or is everyone just guessing like that guy?
