Why is everyone cramming their air fryer basket full?
Saw three separate posts this week where folks stacked chicken thighs to the brim and then wondered why everything came out soggy and uneven. I run a single layer, leave space between each piece, and my wings come out crispy in 22 minutes flat at 380. Does anyone else think the 'fill it up' mentality is just setting people up for disappointment or am I the weird one here?
Stacked thighs means steam trapped between them. No airflow, no crisp. I do 6 wings max in my basket, single layer, flip halfway, and they come out perfect every time. Filling it to the top is just steaming your food at that point.
