Best shift in a long time after a brutal week at the hangar
Last Thursday we had a 737 come in with a MEL on the recirculation fan, and my lead told me to just swap it fast so we could turn the bird. I got the part, found a busted connector pin that wasn't on the write-up, and had it fixed in under 3 hours before the gate change. The relief on the crew's faces when they saw the logbook signed off was worth it, especially since the day before I spent 8 hours chasing a door seal leak that turned out to be a dime-sized crack in the frame. Has anyone else had a job that looked simple but turned into a real win like that?
