Old guy at the gate in Seattle told me to stop using so much torque on spark plugs
He was an old Delta mechanic near the break room, and he said I was gonna snap a plug off in a cold engine block someday. Ever since I started going hand tight plus a quarter turn, I haven't had a single issue. Anyone else get similar advice from a veteran?

Are people really snapping plugs off that easily or is he just being dramatic?

@chen.jenny yeah people snap them off all the time if they're overtightened.
