Customer complaint about wire runs made me rethink my whole layout approach

Had a homeowner in Phoenix tell me my conduit paths looked like spaghetti after a retrofit last month. I always thought function over form was fine, but they said the exposed runs near the garage ceiling were an eyesore. Now I map out every run on paper before drilling, and honestly it takes an extra 20 minutes but the final look is way cleaner. Anyone else get nailed for aesthetics when you thought you were just doing the job right?
