Dropped $890 on a demo day drone for roof inspections, and the thing can't hold position in 8 mph wind
Bought the thing at a vendor booth in Fort Worth last spring because the rep kept saying it would cut my roof work in half. First real job was a two story in Arlington, wind was maybe 8 mph, and the drone just drifted into the gutter and chewed a prop. Then the camera gimbal locked up during setup on a panel check in Plano, so I sent it in for repair and they told me the crash wasn't under warranty. $890 plus $140 in props and shipping, and it's been in the case since March while I'm back on a ladder like always. Has anyone found one of these that actually handles Texas wind, or am I just throwing money at gadgets when a good ladder and a partner is the real answer?
