The foreman who swore by zip ties for every sensor mount was right
Old Dave from my first crew said never trust adhesive pads on garage door contacts, and after 3 callbacks in one week in Phoenix I finally switched to his method. Has anyone else had adhesive fail in extreme heat or am I the last one to learn this?

Old Dave knew his stuff. Heat killed every pad, zip ties never let me down since.
