I used to pull all my zone runs straight to the can, land them loose, and tag everything on the panel end once the walls were closed up on a 16 zone house. Last fall in Amarillo a drywall crew buried the last 6 feet of four runs and I spent 2 days buzzing out which pair went to the back slider and which hit the garage door. Now I land and label each device as I rough it in, even if it adds 20 minutes per zone, so does anyone have a faster way to keep the tags straight without doubling back to every keypad?
