PSA: I stopped answering emails after 5pm and my boss said nothing for 3 weeks
I kept seeing posts saying you have to be reachable all night or you look lazy, so I tested it at my insurance office job in Dayton and just let stuff sit till morning. My manager finally pulled me aside last Tuesday, not to yell, but to ask how I got my claim backlog from 40 files down to 6. Turns out nobody was watching the clock, they were watching the numbers. Anyone else find out their late-night email habit was never actually helping?
