My upstairs neighbor's door would slam so hard it shook my pictures off the wall around 11pm most nights, and I just dealt with it. Then last Tuesday I ran into him in the laundry room and he mentioned he'd put a $6 strip of foam weatherstripping in his door frame to stop the draft, and the slamming stopped too. He said the frame was loose and the foam gave the door something to close against instead of banging, so why did it take me ten months of bad sleep to just ask him about it?
