I put a $12 rug pad under my neighbor's stomping ground and now I feel like a genius
My upstairs neighbor has been stomping around for 6 months and I finally snapped last week. Instead of banging on the ceiling or leaving a note, I bought a $12 rug pad from Target and slid it under their door with a short note that just said "for the noise, no hard feelings." They actually put it down that same day and the stomping is like 70% quieter now. I learned that sometimes the cheap fix works better than a confrontation, but now I'm wondering if I just got lucky. Has anyone else tried slipping a gift under the door instead of complaining to the landlord?
