Pro tip: check the door switch before pulling the control board
Spent four hours last Tuesday on a Whirlpool washer that wouldn't spin. Pulled the control board, tested every relay, even called technical support. Finally noticed the door switch was slightly misaligned by maybe 1/8 inch. Tapped it back into place with a screwdriver handle and it worked perfectly. Has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on something this simple?

not really. i mean yeah you learn something but spending 4 hours on a door switch is just embarrassing. that time was wasted. i couldve called a pro and had them fix it in 5 minutes for like 50 bucks. instead i got to feel smart while my wife watched me stare at a circuit board like it owed me money. the real lesson is to check the stupid simple stuff first. but no, everyone wants to be a hero diagnosing some complex electronic failure. youre not smarter because you took the long way around. youre just slower.

Don't you think four hours of troubleshooting taught you something valuable about the whole system?
