Walked into a laundromat on 5th in Oakland and saw 9 of the 12 dryers tagged out of order
Stopped by the Spin City on 5th ave in Oakland last Tuesday to look at a coin box for the owner and counted 9 dryers with handwritten OUT OF ORDER signs taped on. Turns out the guy who used to service them retired back in March and nobody in the area wants to touch the older Speed Queen stacks because parts take 3 weeks to show up. I get why techs pass on them, but that whole row is just sitting there dead while people wait in line for the 3 that work. Anybody here still servicing older coin-op stuff, and how are you handling the parts delay without losing your shirt?
