Wasted 20 minutes on a dryer last Tuesday because I never checked the vent hood first
Honestly I was pulling panels and testing the thermal fuse on this Kenmore for like half an hour at a house in Riverside, and the whole time it was the outside vent flap jammed shut with a bird nest. The homeowner kept saying it dried fine on towels but not clothes, which should have tipped me off right away. I finally walked outside to check the exhaust and there were twigs sticking out of the hood, felt like a total rookie. Took me 2 minutes to clear it and the drum was heating fine the whole time. Anyone else have a dumb story where the fix was outside the machine the whole time?
