I finally bought the $340 hydraulic pole saw and it was the dumbest buy of my whole season
I do a lot of right of way work outside Bellingham and thought a hydraulic pole saw on the truck would save me climbing time on the small stuff, but the thing leaks oil from the base plate and the reach is way shorter than the ad claims. I paid $340 plus another $60 in fittings trying to make it work, and it still sits in the shed while I use my old Stihl. Did anyone else get burned on one of these hydraulic attachments, or did I just get a bad unit?
