That cheap pole pruner from the big box store cost me a trip to urgent care
I picked up a 16 foot fiberglass pole pruner for $80 last spring and used it on a large maple in my yard. The head twisted right off the pole mid-cut and the branch came down on my shoulder, ended up with a sprain and a $250 copay. Has anyone else had bad luck with those budget telescoping poles, or did I just get a dud?
