The rope trick that saved my ass on a 60 foot pine
Last month I was rigging down a huge pine in Austin and my throw line kept getting tangled in the top. After 20 minutes of cussing, I remembered an old timer's trick: tape a small carabiner to the end of the line before you throw. It cuts through the branches clean, no snags. Has anyone else tried this or got a better way to keep lines from twisting up?

Tape a carabiner? Man, that beats my old sock full of gravel trick.
