Appreciation post: A trick for that stubborn rear quarter panel on a '17 F-150

Had a real fight trying to get the contour right on a replacement panel after a side swipe. Instead of just hammering and dolly work, I clamped a piece of 2x4 lumber across the door opening as a solid brace, then used a porta-power against it to push the high spot. Got it within 3mm of perfect in about twenty minutes. Anyone have a different method for dealing with that specific body line on the aluminum bedsides?

Wait you used a 2x4? That's wild. I would've been scared it would crack the aluminum. I've seen guys use steel pipe for a brace but never wood. Did it leave any marks on the door frame?

Saw my buddy try that once, @hayden_martin29. Left a nasty dent in the sill and the wood split. He switched to a padded steel bar after that.
