That rust bucket project is finally road-ready after a year of weekends.

Spent every spare hour on it, grinding and welding. Seeing it roll out of the shop today was worth all the patience.

Jenny's point about it being "necessary" is exactly why it's worth it. The whole point is that it wasn't necessary at all, which makes finishing it matter. You do it to prove you can take a pile of parts and make it run again, not because you need a car. That's the win.

Was all that effort really necessary... for a car that was basically scrap?

Jenny had a point about it being scrap. A whole year of weekends for a car that probably still needs work. The win seems more about pride than having a working vehicle.
