The paint mixing scale at my supplier changed how I do color matching

Went to grab some product at my local supplier in Newark last Tuesday and noticed they have this digital scale hooked up to their mixing system. I always just eyeballed my tint ratios for custom matches, figured close enough was fine. Turns out their machine showed me my formula was off by like 8 grams on the pearl base, and that tiny bit was why I kept having to respray panels. I asked them to print the exact weight breakdown for a common color and now I do the same at my bench with a cheap food scale... has anyone else switched to weighing instead of measuring by volume for metallic or pearl jobs?

Saw a video where a painter broke down how even 5 grams off in metallic base changes the flip in sunlight, totally made me check my own setup. Been weighing everything since and yeah, it's a game changer for matching.
