Dropped $150 on a good coax crimper and it changed my wiring game

Bought a Paladin Tools 8000 crimper after fighting with a cheapo one from Amazon for months. Did a full harness replacement on a Cessna 172 last week in Denver and every connection was solid first try. Anyone else notice how much time you save when the tool actually seats properly? Thinking about grabbing their stripper too, has anyone used it?

Good tools pay for themselves. Why fight with junk when you can just get it right the first time?

Patricia Hayes up there is right about good tools being better, but I gotta push back on spending that kind of cash on a crimper. You dropped $150 on something you probably use once or twice a year tops. A $30 one from Harbor Freight would get the job done just fine if you take your time and check your work. I've been using the same cheapo crimper for years on my trucks and it works fine. The trick is knowing how to use it right, not throwing money at the problem. Most people blame the tool when they're just rushing through the job. Save your cash for stuff that actually breaks, like wire or connectors themselves.
