Found a trick that fixed intermittent radio noise on a King Air

I was chasing this weird static on a King Air 200 radio for three days. Swapped antennas, checked grounds, even ran new coax. Finally decided to clean the bonding strap connections with a brass brush and some dielectric grease. It worked perfectly and the static went away after that. Anyone else found a simple fix for something that should have been complicated?

Had a similar thing on a Cessna 310 a few years back. Drove me insane for a week. Turned out to be a corroded ground strap behind the panel. Same deal, cleaned it up with a wire brush and some Corrosion X. Static cleared right up. Makes you wonder why they don't put more thought into those connections from the factory.
