A ranger in Yosemite told me to skip the Half Dome cables on a Tuesday and it saved my trip
She said the crowd thins out after 3pm and most people don't know that. I waited until 3:30, walked right up with maybe 5 other people, and had the whole summit basically to myself for 20 minutes. Has anyone else found a time window like that on a busy route?
