Caught my roommate washing dishes with my toothbrush, twice

Walked into the kitchen at like 2 AM last month and saw Dave scrubbing a greasy pan with my $9 blue Oral-B. He said, 'It's fine, I rinsed it off.' Then last Tuesday I found it back in the cup, bristles still damp, and he admitted he'd done it again, this time for his sneakers. How do you even confront that without losing it, and has anyone else had a roommate who thought personal hygiene tools were communal?

Rinsed it off myself once after my cat used it to fish a hairball out of the tub.
