Picked a local credit union over a big online broker for my first IRA and I'm second guessing it
Last month I moved $3,000 into a Roth IRA and had to pick between the credit union down the street in Garland or one of those app brokers with zero fees. I went with the credit union because a real person walked me through the paperwork, but their fund choices are pretty thin and the expense ratios run around 0.9%. Did anyone else pick the friendly local option and regret the fees later, or is the hand-holding worth it?
