Why does nobody talk about automatic payments coming out of the wrong budget category
I set up autopay for my electric bill 8 months ago and never thought twice about it. Then I was going over my spending in a budgeting app and noticed I was $240 over what I thought I spent on utilities. Turns out the autopay was pulling from my fun money account the whole time, not my bills account, and I never caught it because I stopped checking. I was basically double counting my bills in my head while the real money was going somewhere else. Has anyone else had autopay pull from the wrong account and how did you catch it?
