Can we talk about how hiding a challenged book behind the counter got 11 kids to ask for it in one week?
My library in Boise moved a challenged YA title to the back office last month, and the holds list actually tripled because kids kept whispering about the book nobody was allowed to see. Turns out the fastest way to sell a banned book is to act like it's contraband. Anyone else seen a challenged title get more popular after adults tried to hide it?
