The librarian who gave me 'The Chocolate War' in 1998 made me see censorship differently
She said banning a book just makes kids want to read it more, but after she told me about the complaints from parents, I realized it's not about protecting anyone, it's about controlling what questions kids get to ask, so has anyone else had a librarian or teacher push back on a challenge in a way that stuck with you?
