Sank $340 into a 'premium' clipper setup for my shop and it cut worse than my $60 pair from 2019
So about two months back I got talked into upgrading my main clippers by a vendor at a supply show in Columbus. He swore up and down that the $340 kit with the fancy brushless motor would cut my fade time in half, so I bit. First week it was fine, but by week three the blade started pulling on thicker hair and I had two guys flinch in the chair, which never happens with my old pair. I tried swapping blades, oiling it every night, even sent it back once and they blamed my technique. Ended up digging out my beat up $60 clippers from 2019 and honestly they still cut cleaner than the new setup ever did. Now I got $340 sitting in a drawer and I feel like a sucker. Anyone else get burned chasing the fancy gear, or did I just get a lemon?
