A guy at the shop last week swore his creaky bottom bracket was fine, said 'it's just talking to me'.
He rode out and came back 20 minutes later with the drive-side crank arm hanging loose. Anyone else have customers who ignore obvious warning signs until it's almost catastrophic?

Had a guy last month who said his front brake rubbing was just a "speed governor." He came back with the pad material completely gone, metal on metal. The denial is strong. I've seen people ride on tires so bald the casing threads were showing, calling it a "slick tread pattern." At some point, you just hope they make it back to the shop in one piece.
