Hit 5000 flat repairs in 8 years at the shop, never thought I'd count that high
I was logging a tube swap yesterday and my repair counter rolled over to 5000. Bet half of those were from goatheads on the local trail. Anyone else keep a running tally of something dumb like this?

Half were from goatheads on the local trail" - that hit home. I do the same with patch jobs on our local dirt road tires. Over 8 years I've probably done close to 3000 patches from those little thorns. My advice is stock up on the big tube patches and a cheap tire plug kit for the shop. Makes goathead repairs way faster. Also keep a magnet tray nearby for the little metal bits from the old stems. Saves digging through the trash later.

Yeah, @william816 I used to think tracking that stuff was kinda pointless, just extra clutter in my head. But honestly, seeing it add up like that kind of changes how you look at the work, doesn't it? Might start jotting down how many times the shop air compressor kicks on during a busy day now, just to see.
