My brother told me to stop watching shows while folding laundry, and it fixed two things at once
About 6 months ago my brother came over while I was half watching some crime drama and folding a mountain of work shirts, and he said something that stuck with me. He said, "You're not really watching that and you're not really folding either." I got kind of annoyed at first, but he was right. I had been rewinding the same scenes over and over because I kept looking down at the shirts, and the folding was sloppy because my eyes kept drifting back to the screen. So I tried a small change. I save the shows I really want to follow for the couch with the phone face down, and I put on old sitcoms I have seen 3 times for laundry and dishes. The funny thing is I finish shows way faster now and I actually follow the plot. Last week I got through a whole season of a detective show in 4 nights and could tell you every twist. It sounds dumb but splitting the two things changed my whole evening routine. Curious if anyone else has a rule like this, or do you just watch everything while doing chores?
