Dropped $85 on a Hoffmann-style anvil stump from a guy in Tulsa, total game changer
I had been working off a cheap cast iron base that kept ringing and bouncing my hammer. Found a guy on Facebook Marketplace in Tulsa selling a 24-inch oak stump for $85, and after I chained it down and shaped the top, my hammer control got way better. My edges stopped chipping so much too. Has anyone else switched their anvil base and seen a real difference in their work?
