Shoutout to the $45 refractory cement that saved my forge liner

I almost bought the $200 pre-cast liner after my old one cracked in two spots, but patching it with the cheap cement from the local supply shop in Reno held up through a full month of daily work, so has anyone else gone the patch route instead of replacing?
