I used to keep all my game boxes in the closet, but now they're on a shelf in the living room.

For years, my partner called my collection an eyesore, so I hid it away. After I painted the shelf a nice blue and organized it by player count, she actually said it looked good. How do you display your games without starting a fight?

Oh man, I totally get this. I used to think game boxes had to be tucked away too, like they were just plastic clutter. Then I saw a friend group his by color on a simple white shelf, and it looked like a piece of art, not a mess. It completely changed my mind. Now mine are out in the open, sorted by how often we play them, and it actually makes the room feel more lived-in and fun.

Color coding game boxes seems like a lot of effort for something that just holds cardboard and plastic. It's just stuff on a shelf at the end of the day.
