Pro tip: Let the player who hates a game pick the next one

Last month at my Tuesday group, a guy named Mark spent the whole night complaining about our usual worker placement picks. I was annoyed at first, he always groans when something heavy hits the table. But then I handed him the choice for game 2, he grabbed a silly bluffing game from 2019 that I would never touch. We played two rounds of it and the table was louder than I have heard in like 8 months. I changed my own rule since then. Now whenever someone voices a strong dislike, they get to lead the next pick, no arguing. It sounds backwards but it fixed our Tuesday night slump. Has anyone else tried giving the dissenter the wheel or do you just ignore them?
