Bead width went from sloppy to consistent after switching gloves

For months I was fighting pinholes and uneven tie-ins on 6G pipe, figured it was my angle or rod speed. Swapped from those thick insulated gauntlets to a pair of TIG finger gloves for stick work last week, night and day difference in feel. Anyone else find that glove bulk was masking their actual technique this whole time?

Tbh that makes total sense. I ran the same issue on some 2G and 3G fillets last month, kept getting this weird shaky bead no matter how much I slowed down. Swapped to a thinner pair of goatskin gloves and instantly felt my finger pressure on the rod. It's crazy how much feeling you lose with thick gauntlets, you think you're holding steady but your hands are just fighting the glove the whole time. Glad you figured it out too, makes welding way less frustrating when you can actually feel what's happening.
