Got called out for spoiling the twist in our book club pick and now we do one rule before anyone talks
So at our book club meeting in Portland two weeks ago, I mentioned something about the ending of the thriller we were reading and my friend Dana just said 'you literally just ruined it for the three people who aren't done yet.' I felt awful because I honestly didn't even think it was a spoiler. Now we start every meeting with a quick 'who's finished' check and only talk about the ending once everyone's done. We also made a rule that spoilers go in a group chat with a warning label. Has anyone else had to build actual rules around this or do your clubs just wing it?
