Pro tip: Our book club finally agreed on a pick in under 20 minutes and I almost cried
Last Tuesday we met at the library on 5th and for once nobody filibustered. We had 11 people and the vote was 7 to 4 for a short mystery novel instead of the 600 page history tome, and we were done by 7:15pm. The trick was our new rule that anyone who suggests a book has to say why in two sentences max, no speeches. Has anyone else tried a time limit on pitches, and did it stick or did people start gaming it?
