Watched my club go from 5 arguing people to 24 quiet ones in about a year

Our Tuesday group used to be 5 of us in a Boise coffee shop, and we would fight over every book for two hours straight. Then last spring we posted a few meetings on a local Facebook group and the room started filling up. Now we get 24 people and the whole hour is one person talking while everyone nods. Nobody argues anymore because nobody wants to step on a stranger. Has any club here found a way to get the debate back without splitting into two groups?
