A binder client told me my endpapers were too stiff, and they were right
I've been doing rounded spines for about 5 years and always used a heavy book cloth for endpapers because I liked the structure. Last month a repeat customer mentioned they felt like the covers were fighting them when they opened the book, and I shrugged it off at first. Switched to a lighter paper on my last two commissions and the opening feel is so much smoother, has anyone else gotten feedback like that and ignored it initially?
