Pro tip: the $6 bone folder from a garage sale in Tulsa beat my $40 one

I always figured you get what you pay for with bone folders, but a 30 cent leather scrap and that cheap folder gave me cleaner creases on a 300 page rebind than my fancy one. Turns out the cheap one just had a better edge shape that fit my hand. Has anyone else found a cheap tool that works better than the pricey version?
