Question about why linen thread takes forever to source locally
I've been waiting three weeks for a simple spool to arrive.

My last linen thread order took so long to arrive that the embroidery project I needed it for became a "someday" project. I got so impatient I tried to use a glue gun instead, which... did not go well. Now I just have a lumpy, crusty tea towel and a new understanding of why people just wait. Ironically, I found the lost spool in a drawer last week, still in its package.

That reminds me of when I tried to fix a hole in my wall with toothpaste because I didn't want to go buy spackle. It seemed like a good idea until it dried all cracked and yellow. I ended up having to chip it all out and make a trip to the store anyway, so I wasted a whole weekend. My landlord saw it and gave me a lecture about proper repairs. Your glue gun mess is exactly why I don't get creative with supplies anymore. Sometimes waiting is less trouble than cleaning up a dumb mistake.

Did the glue ruin the towel for good?
