Just realized my 2pm 'quick sync' with Dave about the TPS reports is the only human contact I get some days
Dave from accounting (the guy who still prints his emails, in 2024) made me laugh for 10 whole seconds during our 2pm call about a spreadsheet cell that kept turning red, and I sat there after we hung up thinking that was the best part of my day, so now I have to ask: is it sad or actually fine that a 4 minute meeting about a broken formula is what I look forward to at this job?
Ha, that Dave guy sounds like a gem. But here is the real question I want answered: if Dave quit tomorrow, what would you even have left there? Like, is the job itself fine and Dave is just the bonus, or is Dave literally the only thing making it worth showing up? That answer tells you way more about your life than whether the 4 minute call is sad or fine.
