Rant: the overnight stock guy told me he names every pallet and now I can't stop thinking about it
I work nights at a big box store in Reno and last Tuesday around 3am I was zoning aisle 7 when Marcus, the guy who's been stocking there for 11 years, told me he names every pallet that comes off the truck. He said the one by the garden center is "Big Bertha" because it always leans left, and he swears a pallet with a good name gets done faster than one he calls "junk." I laughed at first but then I counted my own pallets that shift, 14 of them, and I couldn't remember a single one. Now I'm wondering if my whole job feels like a blur because I never bother to notice anything about it. Does anybody else have a coworker with a weird system that low key makes the shift go by better?
