The time I learned how many pallets my warehouse really has after counting them one by one
So I work at this supply warehouse in Columbus, just moving boxes and stacking pallets all day. It's boring but it pays the bills. Last month my boss told me to do a full inventory count of all the wooden pallets we own. I figured maybe a few hundred, tops. But after spending three whole afternoons walking around with a clicker counter in my hand, I hit 2,847 pallets. That number blew my mind. They are everywhere, under everything, stacked in corners I forgot existed. And get this, nobody keeps track of them, they just show up with shipments. So now I wonder, how many pallets are just sitting in warehouses across the country doing nothing? Has anyone else discovered some random number at your job that made you stop and think? It's weird how something so dull can surprise you like that.

Wow, that's wild! Did you ever figure out if any of those pallets were ones your warehouse actually bought or if they just accumulated over time from shipments?
