Warning: I put off fixing my flooded basement for 8 months because I couldn't pick between two contractors
Back in January my basement in Akron took on about 2 inches of water and I got two quotes, one for $3,200 from a guy who wanted to dig up the whole floor and one for $1,400 from a guy who just wanted to seal the cracks. I sat on both for 8 months because I was scared of picking wrong, and the mold got so bad my wife made me sleep on the couch for a week. Ended up going with the cheap guy and honestly it's been dry since, but I lost most of last summer to worrying about it. Has anyone else frozen up on a repair decision and made it way worse by waiting?
